Your Weekend Visit

Weekend Nature Programs

Join Museum educators for a series of interactive educational programs about the science and nature of the Hudson Valley. Learn new things and make a fun craft to take home! Unless otherwise noted, programs begin at 10am at the Outdoor Discovery Center entrance on Muser Drive across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall. Suggested for adults with or without children and children over the age of five.$3 for members, $5 for non-members.  For information or to let us know if you are coming with a large group, please call 845-534-5506 x204.

These reptiles of myth and legend are vital members of the ecosystems of our region.  Meet the museum’s resident snakes and learn all about these often misunderstood animals and their cool adaptations. Get a close up look at their unique adapations and learn about snakes that live in the Hudson Valley and what to do if you see one! There will be hands-on replicas of snakes to touch and observe.
