Week 1- Space Camp-June 25 - June 29
Launch a summer of adventure with us! There is no limit to where our imaginations will take us as we explore the universe beyond our Earth. Become an astronaut and travel through the galaxy. Become an astronomer and discover the planets, the stars and more. Find out how a telescope works.

Week 2 - Diggin Dinos- July 2 - July 6
4-day week. No camp held on July 4.
Have you ever tried to imagine what it was like when dinosaurs roamed the Earth? Hunt for Cretaceous clay left behind by glaciers at Kowawese and create your own clay creature. Climb atop an enormous boulder deposited during the last ice age. Excavate a full-size dinosaur skeleton. Learn about the Mastodons that once roamed our Highlands and Valleys. Touch genuine ancient dinosaur fossils and rock specimens from the museum’s collections.

Week 3 - Rocks Rock - July 9 - July 13
Let’s hunt for Earthly treasures as we learn about rocks and minerals. Did you know that our region has some of the oldest rocks on the planet and some of the most fascinating mineral specimens found nowhere else in the world? Visit the site of a 19th century magnetite mine on our trails. Learn how rocks and minerals are formed and how New York State’s great mountains began. All campers will start their very own rock collection (or add to the one you already have.)

Week 4 - Wet and Wild - July 16 - July 20
From puddles to ponds and rivers to streams, learn about the wonderful wet world of aquatic life. We’ll discover the unique adaptations of animals that live below the surface. Using nets, we will hunt for invertebrates such as dragonflies - the flying jewels of the wetlands. This week will be saturated with cool, wet and wonderful water games that certainly will be a SPLASH!

Week 5 - Wonders of Science - July 23 - July 27
It’s science sampler week! Each day of the week will feature an exploration in a different realm of the sciences. Learn to see the world around you and how it works in a whole new way. Have fun learning about chemistry, biology, engineering and more while we play games, perform fun experiments and do lots of hands-on activities. Science is simply outstanding!
