Tour our sugar bush and learn about the fascinating development of Maple Sugaring through 400 years of New York State history.
• What began as an exchange of ideas and practices between early explorers and Native Americans has become one of our best loved treats and an important industry in our state.
• The tours start every half hour and are a 45-minute walk thourgh the forest, stopping at various locations to learn all of the interesting aspects of making maple syrup.
• Return to the farmhouse for a taste test challenge: Can you tell the difference between maple-flavored pancake syrup and the real thing?
• Maple products and hot chocolate available for purchase in our Visitors Center gift shop.
• During the maple sugar season, there is either mud or wet snow, so be sure to wear boots and dress warmly!
• Admission $10/Adults, $5 children ages 3-11 - Museum Members: $6/Adults, $3 Children
